Peter Doyle's Story
Read what Peter had to say
My name is Peter Doyle. I have been using iQ Financial for almost 10 years now, and I normally deal with Enda.
I had a reasonably successful business with a good turnover. I’d made some bad property decisions in the previous 10 years, and I just got into a mess, I just needed somebody to help me manage my way through it.
I heard about iQ Financial from a personal recommendation from a friend who had used their services, and in Sligo, everybody knows everybody.
I like working with iQ Financial because they’re not trying to sell me a product, and I feel that they work in my best interest.
My financial needs have changed significantly. Initially, I had a reasonable income but a lot of debt, and they helped me manage my way through that. I was also going through divorce and separation; they were very helpful in planning and managing that. I then recommended that my mother use them. She was having some issues with her financial adviser at the time, but she found Enda very helpful. She liked him. I recommended him to my brother as well. So, it’s been a bit of a family affair.
I always feel like Enda is always able to see another angle or ask the right questions about my pensions or my life insurance. Maybe it’s because he knows the business inside and out.
I find the long-term financial planning that they do very useful. I have kids going through college and I also expanded my business last year, so it was very useful to check in with Enda to see how the various changes that I make or that life makes for me feed into my financial future and financial wellbeing.
The three words I would use to describe the service provided by iQ Financial and by Enda in particular, who I mostly deal with, are that his advice is always practical, relevant and consistent.
They are always accessible, even at times when I don’t have a particular need to talk to them. They send out a monthly newsletter, which I find very useful just to keep me updated. Anytime I need him, he’s always at the other end of the phone.
Yes, I would have no hesitation in recommending Enda and iQ Financial, and in fact, I have. My mother has used them for five or 10 years, and my brother has also used them, as have some of my friends in Dublin. They’ve all been very happy, as have I, with the service received.
